Being in hypnosis is similar to being in a daydream. I will often encourage you to close your eyes and it can feel like you’re in a deep state of relaxation.
You are in control the whole time; you can move or open your eyes if wish. And if you want to stop at any point, that’s fine too

No, you don’t have to.
If the past is relevant, therapy may be more beneficial if you do feel able to talk about the past with me.
However, if you really don’t want to, we can still work together. Either we’ll avoid reviewing the past at all, or we can look at it and you don’t have to share with me what’s going on for you.

EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing. It helps your brain to process memories and emotions by getting your eyes to move from side to side.
EFT is short for Emotional Freedom technique or is better known as Tapping. It uses acupuncture points to help reduce the intensity of an emotion. I generally will use EMDR and EFT together.
NLP stands for Neuro-Linguistic Programming. It’s based on how our thoughts, behaviours and language interact and aims to re-programme unhelpful auto-pilot habits or beliefs.
